About Me (or What Is About Me That Can Help You and Your Business to Success)
Well, actually it's simple. I'm like you.
I grew up not having very much. My father was a career military man. I got to travel around the world and meet
interesting people. But with four kids on an enlisted man's pay we did not have much money. I remember living in
Missouri - in a small trailer - with only one bed for our entire family with very little money. It was a good thing my
father was in the Army. At least we got to eat C-Rations he brought to us.
I vowed that someday I would have a better life. So I tried many things as an adult.
I went through the same business struggles
that you are currently going through or wanting to grow your business.
I started out in direct sales, then I decided to start my own business. Wanting the freedom.
Heck, if others can do it - I can too, right? Boy did I have a lot to learn.
And that's what it was all about. Going through the learning process.
I got into different "Money Making Programs" - probably like a lot of you. I was going
to be rich - like you. I did import/export, mail order, specialty merchandise, land sales, and so on ...
Some I did pretty well in. Some were a waste of time. Probably the best learning came from mail order.
I had to learn direct marketing. How to write ads, test them and more. I then started to write ads for other
businesses. And got better at it. And loved it. So I decided to start an advertising and marketing agency.
I did learn a lot - but I found out how little I actually knew. So I went on a search of the best of the best experts
in marketing. Not some college professor - but real marketers. I studied E. Joseph Cossman, David Ogilvy,
John Caples, Dan Kennedy, Joseph Sugarman, Earl Nightingale, Jay Abraham, Melvin Powers, and dozens of others.
I got much better, probably in the top 1% of all marketing experts.
One thing that I did learn that applies not only in business, but in all parts of our lives - is that
we must be passionate about what we do or we will ultimately fail. So any marketing will show that passion and provide
the success we all want. You've got to believe in what you are doing. If not, find something that you do believe in.
My head hurt from all the information I was pouring into it. My own library consists of over 5,000 books on business, marketing,
psychology, philosophy, journalism, and more. Over 100 tape courses. And tons of videos. I'm still studying them.
I applied what I learned, experimented and discovered that these concepts actually worked.
I used them in my own businesses, in network marketing, direct sales and more. And they work in every
industry that I worked with, including consulting with.
By the way. In my earlier life - I was in the Marines, a police officer, lifeguard, security guard, bodyguard, and
floor manager of a discount store. I sold real estate (land sales), earthquake devices, telemarketing, fire extinguisher sales,
alarm systems, apartment leasing, auto sales, water systems, collection services (sales and marketing manager), and home food delivery sales. A lot of the companies
went out business and refused to pay me. I decided to start my own.
My goal is to help businesses like yours to succeed. I have a great love helping
others. And to do a good job doing it. I've always envisioned myself like
a comic book hero (that's probably why I became a police officer). I teach fighting strategies and
techniques on a part-time basis. Having studied martial arts since I was 5 years old and later
learning real fighting techniques in the Marines and teaching other Marines these skills.
The same passion in that has translated into helping small businesses to succeed.
Fight with everything - use the proper strategies - with the proper mindset - and you can
never be defeated.
I hope this you a glimpse into who I am and what I can do for you. I wish you the best and
